The department of Chemistry of Government Degree College, Kanda Bageshwar was established in 2019. Initially, it was affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital. Currently it is affiliated to Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora. It offers Chemistry as a major subject for the three-year Undergraduate Degree Program (B.Sc. ). The course aims to provide the basic understanding of the fundamental Chemistry . It deals with the atomic structure, Reaction Mechanism and fundamental Inorganic Chemistry like s and p block elements. At present, one assistant professor, one lab assistant and one lab attendant are working in the department.
