Government Degree College, Kanda is a government institution established in 2006. The college was  recognized by UGC under section 2(f). It is affiliated to  Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora, Uttarakhand. The college functions from its own campus. The new building block is about 2 km from Kanda village and placed in small hillock.
